November 2011: Modeling a White Light Source Using the Phosphor DLL

In this article, Dr. Sanjay Gangadhara explains how to use bulk scattering to model LED phosphors. This includes inelastic scattering which changes both the ray wavelength and direction, and elastic scattering that changes only direction. Different scattering functions are applied in the inelastic and elastic cases for comprehensive phosphor modeling. More...
